It comes from Mediterranean cuisine and adds a characteristic aroma to dishes originating from it. It perfectly emphasizes the taste of meats, it also works well with fish. It cannot be missing in sauces. Great for baked potatoes and legume dishes. Also used for pickles and pickling cucumbers.
